  Knit Hat Swedish Color Scheme

"Inspired by the color scheme on the crocheted hats worn by the Olympic athletes from Sweden (blue/yellow/black/off-white). This version was worked in a combination of chunky & worsted wt. yarns on a size 10 circular needle, so the X-Small cast-on number of 64 sts was used. The hat was knit a little longer for a slouchy/bunchy look at the top and, due to the chunkier yarn and larger needles, resulted in an adult size large with a slightly looser fit."   -- Kathy North

Color sequence (after the first 6 rounds of ribbing in blue):

1 rnd blue

5 rnds yellow

4 rnds off-white

1 rnd black

3 rnds yellow

5 rnds blue

2 rnds off-white

1 rnd black

1 rnd off-white

4 rnds blue

2 rnds yellow

8 rnds yellow (begin top decreases in this section)

5 rnds blue (continue with top decreases)

2 rnds black (then gather remaining sts and close top)"
